The accommodations were comfortable, the ship is very clean and the food was excellent. In these waters, you do have quite a bit of sea movement at night when the ship is sailing between islands, so highly recommend wearing the patch or some form of sea sickness prevention.

José, the bartender, was always kind, had a great sense of humor and also welcomed us with snacks and juices when we got back from the activities (hiking, snorkling, panga rides, kayaking, etc). I tried many different kinds of juice for the first time! Captain Marcelo and first mate Pablo were usually there to greet us and to make sure all was safe. The activities were great and led by our naturalist Enrique. He was very kind, knowledgeable, and always made us laugh. He also taught us a lot about the islands' wildlife, flora, history, and geology. Sterling and Dario were awesome and always around as well taking us to and from the boat from the various activities. Whenever we got back, the rooms were clean and the bed made with awesome towel art on them (thanks Rei!). Luis and Jesus were the engineer and electrician (respectively) on board and also very kind and helpful to all. I wanted to mention everyone in the crew because everything was above and beyond our expectations and big part of it was because of them! Every island had its magic and I would highly recommend a cruise at the Galapagos islands- Elite if possible! What an incredible journey...

- Count on a tip for the crew - the ship's recommendation is about $160 per person per stay (this is only a recommendation!)

Our tip:
Pack earplugs and seasickness tablets.
In November, the water temperature is around 16 degrees.
Be prepared to get up early, but most of all, it's worth it!!!

  My sister and I had the opportunity to sail on the Elite for 7 nights starting Feb 8, 2020. What an amazing experience! The days were packed with adventures... read more including hiking (some more on the difficult side while being described as moderate in the itinerary), panga rides, snorkeling, and kayaking. We participated in most of the activities but also felt comfortable sitting some out. The crew were gracious, friendly, and efficient. Our cruise director Ricardo was a master of organization and ensured everyone was well cared for. Our naturalist Daniel was so knowledgeable and thoughtful. He really made the experience come alive. The chef prepared delicious and creative options for all meals. Special requests were accommodated with a smile. The rooms are huge! Having private balconies was a special treat although we mostly spent time in the social areas. Whenever we were moored somewhere around other yachts, we would always remark that the Elite was the prettiest boat on the seas ... and others must be envious! We found the final morning to better than what we were expecting. We expected to be rushed through a meager breakfast and basically ignored (based on past experience on other cruises). However, that was not the case at all. We ate a proper breakfast (like all the other days), the crew were genial even though they were also preparing for the next guests, and we never felt we were being dismissed. This was the trip of a lifetime for us, and I’m so grateful we sailed on the Elite. Thanks to the whole crew for introducing us to this magnificent archipelago. …
